JANESVILLE — After major funding from the state of Wisconsin was recently approved, the construction contract for the Woodman’s Center ice arena is out for bid. The Council could give a green light soon.
So, will taxpayers be skating on thin ice or is the city moving forward with unmatched economic development opportunities?
At the next forum hosted by the Rock County Civics Academy at 6 p.m. Nov. 28, a panel will discuss the next steps to the finish line, possible challenges that may lie ahead and questions that remain for residents.
The forum will be held at the Uptown Janesville Mall and is open to the public. Those who attend will be able to submit questions to the panelists.
Enter near Alta Beauty and follow the signs.
“The Woodman’s Sports and Convention Center — a skate to the finish line” panelists include:
- Bill McCoshen, Owner of the Janesville Jets
- Julie Cubbage, General Manager of Uptown Janesville
