JANESVILLE — Janesville voters will have a chance to learn more about their city council and school board candidates Wednesday during a special forum sponsored by the Rock County Civics academy.
The forum begins at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at the Italian House, 1603 E. Racine St., in Janesville.
The forum will begin with two of the three candidates running for three open seats on the Janesville School District Board of Education.
Incumbents Karl Dommershausen and Kevin Murray will answer questions about why they are best qualified to be re-elected to the board.
Then at 7 p.m., the five candidates running for four open seats on the Janesville City Council will take the floor.
They include incumbents Dave Marshick, Heather Miller and Michael Jackson, along with challengers Richard Neeno and Spencer Zimmerman.
This might be your only opportunity to get up close and personal, share your issues and air your concerns.
Audience members will be allowed to submit questions, along with questions from moderator Rich Gruber.
This is the first Janesville candidate face-off this important election season.
The Rock County Civics Academy also is offering a chance to win one of three free dinners from the Italian House for those who attend the forum in person.
